Description:
Summary:
Assist guests with incoming phone calls, transfers and inquiries regarding facilities and services for Golden Entertainment-owned properties in the Laughlin, NV.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests and be able to speak in a pleasant, quiet and understandable tone of voice
Answer all calls for the Edgewater and Colorado Belle
Answer all incoming calls quickly, courteously and efficiently. Direct calls to the proper extensions/rooms
Operate hotel computer system to access information for guests and administration
Contact hotel administrative team members via beeper system or cellular phone, as needed
Page guests and/or patrons of the hotel for phone calls and other messages
Call or radio engineering department for service calls and fill out work orders
Restrict and un-restrict guest’s phone lines
Process various reports and complete daily check lists
Execute emergency procedures of the hotel, when necessary
Assist in keeping the PBX department neat and all equipment in working order
Update management of any problems, suggestions, or questions regarding department operations
Refer guests to available hotels in the area when the hotel is sold out
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Previous experience with guest service, multi-line phone system and room reservations systems is preferred
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to perform basic math
Type 35 wpm preferred
General computer skills using Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of reservation procedures, LMS, SDD, Intellidesk and Delphi Systems preferred
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
