About Payroll Specialist

  Our client, in the energy and utility industry is seeking an Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be part of the financial and accounting department supporting accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have great communication, effective listening and collaboration skills which will align successfully in the organization.

  Job Title: Payroll Specialist

  Location: Cleveland, VA

  Pay: 26.42/hr paid weekly

  What’s the Job?

  Perform plant accounting activities such as budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital work orders, outage tracking, etc.

  Provide assistance to material management.

  Participates in the process of planning and scheduling of accounting/materials management activities.

  Assists with providing input to annual budget, capital forecasts, five year plan and improvement requisitions.

  Assists with preparation and analysis of reports

  What’s Needed?

  Bachelors Degree in a related field from an accredited school

  minimum of 1 - 2 years related work experience in Accounting or Material Management or equivalent education/work experience

  Demonstrates initiative to enhance learning and improve performance.

  Demonstrates ability to work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.

  Effectively communicates with team, management and customers/contractors/vendors.
