What will you be doing in this role?
The Payroll Representative II is a highly specialized position where the problem-solving technique requires an in-depth knowledge of current federal, state, local, and Cedars’ policies of employee compensation and benefits. The Payroll Representative II must handle the research, processing and communicating of pay changes in a timely fashion to employees and managers. The subject areas, which a representative will work, include, but are not exclusive to: Timecard processing, retro pay calculations, Personnel Action Forms changes, lump sum payments, adjustments and manual checks, voluntary and involuntary deductions. In this role, you will:
Process tax levies (IRS and FTB).
Communicate necessary documentation needed from managers to process change requests.
Understand and communicate Payroll policies and procedures to customers.
Follows Cedars-Sinai's multiple pay structure guidelines and exceptions.
Edit Kronos for assigned employees who are on LOA/SDI Integration
Be responsible for calculating and recording payroll deductions and enters them into the payroll system.
Respond to high priority requests from the Finance Help Desk.
Serve as a back-up with processing wage garnishments.
Assist the Payroll Supervisor/Manager with projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or college diploma preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience payroll processing at a high-volume organization highly preferred.
