Description We are in search of a Payroll Clerk to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry located in Lodi, California. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be tasked with reviewing timesheets, confirming hours, and making necessary payroll changes. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring all payroll information is up-to-date. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities: • Review and confirm hours on timesheets, ensuring their accuracy • Make necessary adjustments to timesheets, including corrections to hours or sick pay • Handle payroll changes with efficiency and accuracy • Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including macro and pivot table utilization, and V-look up • Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency • Regularly update up to 100 timesheets on a biweekly basis • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner • Perform any additional tasks related to payroll as needed.

• Proven experience with payroll processing for 101 - 500 employees.
• Demonstrated knowledge of payroll garnishments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Familiarity with wholesale distribution industry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification as a Payroll detail oriented (CPP) is advantageous.
