Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Payroll Analyst.Summary:Under general supervision of the Payroll Manager, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Payroll Analyst will research, analyze and retrieve data to prepare and maintain complex payroll records, summaries and reports; reconcile differences within established payroll and accounting systems using critical analysis skills.Responsibilities:
Interpret, explain and comply with prescribed laws, rules, regulations, and procedures
Monitor, audit, reconcile, and balance a variety of data and transactions
Perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
Identify and correct errors
Operate a variety of standard office equipment
Set up and maintain database and related files
Create spreadsheets and other related forms, reports and documents
Use independent judgment to review payroll records
Communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Follow detailed directions
Set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
Coordinate a variety of projects simultaneously
Work independently and as a team member
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work
Train other staff, as assigned
High School diploma or GED
4 years of payroll, Accounts Payable, or bookkeeping experience or 2 years of college work with concentration on business or accounting and one year of payroll, Accounts Payable, or bookkeeping experience
Basic understanding of general ledger reconciliations
Advanced knowledge of data entry and spreadsheets with the ability to develop Excel-based models designed to calculate and verify complex payroll calculations
Solid understanding of Payroll information systems and data management
Ability to work in high volume environment and to meet processing schedules and deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience with PeopleSoft (Human Capital Management) and Kronos timekeeping is highly preferred
Demonstrates the ability to get along with others
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
