About Payroll Administrator

  Description Requiring proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Robert Half seeks a Payroll Administrator to help process payroll. This position might be the one for you if you possess dynamic and strong communication skills and problem-solving capabilities. The Payroll Administrator provides a long-term contract / temporary to hire role from its Flower Mound, Texas location.

  What you get to do every single day

  Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data

  Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes

  Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis

  Deliver assistance to payroll with internal and external audits

  Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

  Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities

  Offer proper review and verification of source documents

  Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports

  Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance

  Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

  Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential

  Manage employee deductions and other liabilities

  Manage other tasks as assigned

  Answer questions and requests related to payroll information Requirements - Microsoft Excel experience required

  ADP - Payroll experience

  Multi-state payroll experience

  Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

  Certified Payroll Professional will be given preference

  Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.

  Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen

  Experience with high volume data entry

  Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

  Prior experience working with collections/accounting software

  Mastery of internal controls

  General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred

  Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll
