Butit's our unique opportunity to impact people's lives that makes ZOLL theideal place to build your career.Job SummaryThe Collections Specialist isresponsible for working with insurance companies to facilitate thereprocessing of denied, incorrectly paid and unprocessed claims to result ina favorable return.Essential FunctionsProvides outstanding customer service to both internal and external partiesUtilize multiple software systems to follow current workflow processes toensure timely follow up on assigned claimsContact patients, physician offices and insurance companies to relay orobtain necessary information and/or documentation to maximize reimbursementResubmission of claims after identifying initial submission was not receivedor rejected by the payerSubmits corrected claims to payer after making necessary edits on HCFA 1500claim formsWrite appeals to insurance companies to overturn denied or incorrectly paidclaimsUnderstand and resolve credit balances and write offs by submitting refunds,adjustments etc.Communicate pertinent reimbursement issues to leadership timelyMonitor and manage assigned accounts timely to claim resolutionPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementRequired/Preferred Educationand ExperienceHigh School DiplomaMinimum 2 years' experience in a medical revenue cycle environment with asolid understanding of HCFA 1500 claim formsExperience with Microsoft Office and navigating Windows softwareKnowledge,Skills and AbilitiesA solid, intermediate background in Microsoft ExcelSuperior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsMulti-tasking with a strong attention to detailA fast and resourceful learner with an eagerness to grow and adapt to dailychallengesPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this Job, theemployee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
