About Patient Care Technician

  DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Patient Care Technician to serve our patients at our Bay City, Michigan dialysis clinic.

  No previous healthcare experience required - Paid Dialysis Training provided!

  What does the PCT role entail?Rotating Schedule of 3 to 4 day work weeks, including rotating Saturday's with Sunday offStarting and ending times can range from 4:45 am to 4:30 pmAverage hours range from 8 to 12 hours a dayMonitor, educate and provide care for up to 4 patients before, during and after dialysis treatment.Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.Support your community and build relationships by caring for patients local to your town.

  What does a successful PCT look like?High School Diploma (HSD) or GEDComfortable working around blood and needles, mixing acid or bicarbDesire to enter the healthcare field to care for other people in needFlexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededAbility to work in a fast paced setting as part of a team while managing multiple responsibilities at a timeHealthcare experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
