Description:
We have exciting Medical Front Desk/Patient Care Coordinator positions available at various offices throughout Broward County. Office hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday (these hours might vary slightly depending on the office).
Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development.
Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
Confirms with patient any changes in address, phone number or insurance information.
Enters all changes in the IDX System.
Makes copies of all insurance information.
Obtains required signatures and consents.
Obtains HMO/PPO authorizations, if applicable.
Verifies validity and coverage of insurance.
Documents any information regarding the account or patient information on the IDX comment
screen/sticky notes.
Prepares and assigns charge slip.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum of 1 year experience in medical office setting preferred
Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance preferred
Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff and visitors
are necessary
