VCA Parkway Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced vet assistant to join our team! We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, ability to work well with others, scheduling flexibility, and excellent communication skills. We are a fast-paced 3-doctor practice. VCA Parkway is a Fear Free practice. If you are Fear Free certified, that is a plus!

Schedule: Business hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM and Saturday 8AM-3PM. No overnight shifts or working on Sundays. We are a General Practice clinic, so no emergency department or walk-ins; we schedule by appointment only. There is opportunity within this position to transition to grow your career.

Compensation: Starting at $18.50 / hour.

Restraining animals for routine procedures.

Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.

Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).

Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.

Maintaining medical records.

Assisting other staff as needed.

Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently
