JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management is seeking Undergraduate Research Assistants to work with graduate students, postdocs, and faculty on several ecology research projects. They will help with installation of research projects (planting, fence building, site clearing), forest monitoring (recording tree and seedling diameter, height, health, species), data entry, and field site and lab maintenance. Candidates should be prepared to work outside under a range of conditions (hot, humid, wet, cold, rocky, thick vegetation) and be prepared to protect themselves from sun, heat, insects, and noxious plants.Clear and prompt communication with their supervisors and fellow field members is the most important expectation for the job.

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
