JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3rd Shift Grinder Operator - 1116030000DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Overview The Grinder is responsiblefor maintaining the proper blend of cheese product. Job Responsibilities* Coordinate with Production Supervisor(s) on production order add-ons,product change over\'s and tie outs. * Read blend sheets and followinstructions that may be given on the blend sheets to standardizeblender. * Ability to properly scan ingredients to in process or blendsheet. * Record correct batch numbers on blend sheet if ingredients arenot scanned to the blend sheet. * Follow production order for groups.* Assure sample cups are near blenders. * Scrape any mold found oncheese and deposit mold in detained product tubs. * Weigh and recordfish bait on fish bait recording sheets. * Use non-cheese ingredientsin proper rotation- First In First Out. * Ability to use hand held tolook up the oldest ingredient batches. * Ability to use the inventoryreport (LX02) to look up oldest ingredient batches or handheld. * Labelany unused ingredient with its description and or batch (if needed) andreturn to proper storage (cooler or dry ingredient) when done with theingredient. * Collect blender samples for Lab/Quality Assuranceanalysis. * The sample includes: fat sample, blender moisture sampleand any additional samples that may be required by the lab. * Keep workarea neat and dispose of empty powder bags, cardboard, plastic, and anywork debris. * Clean-up powder spills by blenders and powder room. *Keep floor swept around grinders. * Verify group sheets for accuracy ofcheese scanned to group to assure an accurate inventory. * Assure thatall necessary ingredients are ready and on hand for use. * Unpluggrinder when plugged. * Assist with the training of new employees whenrequested by Supervisor. * Complete all paperwork completely andcorrectly. * Sanitize lines at start up. * Inspect grinder screen inthe beginning of each shift. * All GLC employees are expected toperform any assignment or job task according to the stated safetypolicies and procedures. * All GLC employees are expected to produceand promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds thequality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adheringto Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in ourSafe Quality Food Program. * Other responsibilities as assigned by themanager. Working Conditions * Ability to constantly stand/walk;bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.* Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist,waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying. * Hair nets, earplugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required. * Productweight: up to 100 lbs * Repetitive work in a fast-paced productionenvironment with average temperature of 50-60 degrees F. * Use of motorskills to safely drive tow motors or other motorized vehicles in tightquarters.
