Friends University is seeking to fill the part-time Security Officer position at our Wichita, Kansas Campus location. The Security Guard will provide second/third shift security services to Friends University; patrols campus and checks resident halls and other buildings; maintain safe parking conditions on campus. Work hours are as assigned by the Director of Security normally not to exceed 30 hours per week; additional hours may occasionally be requested. Some weekends/holidays possible.

　　Experience: Two years experience in security or related field is required as is firearms certification. Must carry handgun that meets with the Wichita Police Department requirements. Computer skills are necessary (Microsoft Office products desired).

　　Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

　　Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.

　　Other Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required for this position. A motor vehicle report will be run to verify insurability and to become an approved driver by the University’s insurance carrier.
