JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The School of Visual Arts (SoVA) in the College of Arts and Architecture (AA) is looking for friendly and professional people to serve as receptionist and general office assistant. You will be detail-oriented and organized while providing customer service and performing administrative tasks in a fast-paced and diverse office environment.

The successful candidate's primary duties may include the following:*Serve as a receptionist for SoVA representing the school in a professional and welcoming manner*Perform general office tasks including answering the phone, distributing mail, and hanging posters

Required skills and experience include:

Excellent customer service skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with standard office proceduresThe ability to work with people from a variety of cultures and backgroundsCAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
