Job Description

　　2 NEWS is searching for a part-time Newscast Director who will coordinate technical operations during newscasts and other live and recorded productions

　　The candidate must be good with computers and technology and able to work under strict deadlines. Candidate must be flexible to work any shift – including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.

　　Duties & responsibilities include:

　　Supervise and assigns duties to workers engaged in technical control and production of programs

　　Observe video and live feeds through monitors and direct camera/video staff concerning composition

　　Work with the news producers and managers to deliver a clean and high energy newscast

　　Switch video sources and give direction at the same time during live broadcasts

　　Test equipment to ensure proper operation

　　Perform other duties as assigned

　　Requirements & Skills:

　　High school diploma preferred

　　Fluency in English

　　Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

　　Experience in news operations and production preferred

　　Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment

　　Proficiency with broadcast control equipment

　　Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
