The Customer Excellence Program Manager ensures the successful execution and delivery of customer-centric programs, characterized by their focus on risk management, resource management and project planning. This role requires adept coordination of multiple teams, project managers, and key stakeholders, given its matrix leadership nature. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire program's lifecycle, implementing program controls, monitoring progress, managing the budget and resources, and addressing all risks or issues that may arise. Furthermore, the program manager will play a pivotal role in aligning deliverables across various projects and programs, ensuring excellence in both customer service and program outcomes across DLC.
Location: Hybrid, downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for day-to-day operations across the program's life cycle.Establish program controls, encompassing processes, procedures, reporting mechanisms, and more, to effectively govern the program.Develop and execute a comprehensive program and monitor progress to ensure that project and program milestones are met.Exercise fiscal responsibility by managing the program's budget efficiently.Proactively identify and address risks and issues that might arise throughout the program life cycle.Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies between the various projects and programs in the program.Manage and use resources and stakeholders appropriately across the various projects and programs in the program.Ensure alignment of deliverables across the projects and programs in the program.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.7 years of experience in customer department or project management office required.5 years of experience in electric utility or heavy commercial/industrial organization preferred.Prior experience as a leader in a project management office preferred.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certificate in a project management curriculum preferred.Skills and Experience Utilized in this Role IncludeExcellent communication and collaboration skills, including ability to work well with a wide range of individuals.Strong project management experience, particularly in handling large-scale and complex projects.Possess broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies.Ability to understand the overarching objectives of the program, encompassing business and strategic goals, and the capability to inspire others to achieve these objectives within set timelines and budgets.Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills with appropriate experience, including ability to lead others in a matrix reporting environment.Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.Must possess a positive attitude and strong values that fit with DLC's core values:
