WPEC CBS12 in West Palm Beach has an immediate opening for a part-time News Video Editor.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Assemble video for newscasts using non-linear editing system on tight deadlines to get shows on the air.

• Communicating clearly with producers and crews to ensure correct video gets on-air and all parties are aware of any workflow issues which may impact shows.

• Recording video from a variety of local and outside sources and routing of live video signals.

• Knowledge of and interest in news and current events a plus.

• Familiarity with non-linear editing and Avid in particular, preferred.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

• College degree or minimum one year relevant experience in commercial video production.

• Knowledge of non-linear editing and ability to assemble high-quality clips that match scripts quickly and accurately

• Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment under deadline.

• Understands news is a 24-7 operation, must be able and willing to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
