During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2023-24 academicyear, the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of RomanceLanguages & Literatures may have part-time teaching opportunities invarious courses of the Spanish Language curriculum.
Minimum qualifications are superior proficiency in Spanish according toACTFL guidelines and a master\'s degree or equivalent in Hispaniclinguistics or literature, second language pedagogy/acquisition, or arelated field. Preference is given to applicants with a doctorate orequivalent. At least one year of experience teaching Spanish at thecollege or post-secondary level is also required. Responsibilities willinclude preparing and teaching seminar-style language courses using ahighly interactive communicative approach, holding regularly scheduledoffice hours, and the preparing and grading of assignments and testingmaterials.
Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successfulcandidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In2023-24, the minimum per-course salary is \$7,538. This position is notbenefits eligible.
