　　Spectra Tech is currently hiring a CDL Driver to support our Government customer in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

　　Job Description

　　Transports passengers throughout the installation and on public roads.

　　Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of passengers to ensure timely and accurate transportation.

　　Must wear pager and/or carry cellular phone (will be provided by Government).

　　Assure overall appearance, maintenance, and condition of vehicle is in good working order for transporting high ranking officials and passengers.

　　Assures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking gross vehicle weight rated (GVWR) of vehicle to be loaded (no overhangs, no vision obstacles.)

　　Completes trip tickets by annotating daily utilization and preventive maintenance service records (check/completes the daily operation inspection list on the back of the trip ticket).

　　Completes driver's accident report if vehicle is involved in an accident.

　　Performs review of operation inspection checklist and notifies Government POC of any discrepancies.

　　Drives both commercial and Government-owned automobiles, vans, or trucks for short and long distances.

　　Must be flexible with work schedule and willing to work until all assignments are complete.

　　Must have excellent customer service skills for dealing with general public and high-ranking officials.

　　Provides on-the-job training to other contractor personnel.

　　Transports equipment and hazardous materials throughout the installation and on public roads. Some loads may contain hazardous material.

　　Supports the APG Warehouse in addition to driving tasks - receiving packages, preparing paperwork and documentation, tagging and delivering packages and freight to customers across APG.

　　Prepare items (pack, secure, apply packing label) for shipment.

　　Removes packing items, trash and scrap materials (plastic, cardboard, wood, metal) and puts in trash/recycling bins.

　　Moves supplies and materials to designated locations using a hand truck or forklift.

　　Moves or relocates furniture or materials for assembly or removal.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　Possession of a valid CDL driver's license (A or B) with passenger carrying, hazmat, and air brakes endorsements preferred. If you have the CDL, will consider as long a you can get the endorsements fairly quickly.

　　Must have a clean driving record (no DWI, DUI, or major violations to include accidents within the past eighteen (18) months),

　　Requires ten (10) years of driving experience.

　　Must become familiar with ARL facilities and restricted areas.

　　Must become familiar with access gates and roads in and around Aberdeen Proving Ground.

　　Must be appropriately dressed when transporting or escorting officials (e.g., sport coat w/collar with high-ranking officials, business casual for other events)., no sneakers, no T-shirts, no hats, A collared, or business casual shirt (no logos unless preapproved ARL logo) and clean, neat business appearance.

　　CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

　　Active SECRET CLEARANCE or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required. (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
