　　JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

　　The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Administrative Support Assistant to provide operational support to our graduate programs. This position will be involved in a variety of Graduate Studies tasks including (but not limited to): assisting with the graduate admissions process (responding to applicant emails, reviewing applications, reviewing fee waiver requests, entering exception requests, assisting with composing offer letters & terms of offer), processing graduate appointments, tracking and maintaining accurate records for current graduate students , and providing customer service to current graduate students and faculty. This position will also assist with events and recruitment, new student orientation, student visits, open houses, and other graduate events. This is a part-time, in-person position for 24 hours per week . The starting pay rate is $17 - $20 per hour depending on experience.

　　This position typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication . Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other basic computer skills . Candidate must demonstrate professionalism with a high commitment to customer service; organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage and prioritize tasks with minimal direction; and ability to exercise discretion and judgment while managing confidential information.
