Hiring Range: $90,349 - $99,384 annually.
Work Schedule: Generally, 40 or more hours per week; typical schedule isMonday Friday 7am 4pm, position may involve nights, weekends andholidays as business needs require.
NATURE OF WORKAs a member of the Parks, Recreation & Culture Division, individuals inthis position are responsible for providing leadership and managing allservices associated with providing comprehensive planning, development,maintenance and operations of parks, cemeteries and forestry that meetcommunity desires and needs for parks.Individuals in the position are required to perform work in a mannerconsistent with and exemplary of the town s PRIDE values and philosophiesand the town s Equal Opportunity Employment policy.
SUPERVISION EXERCISEDIndividuals in this role directly supervise the Parks and Forestry Divisionemployees, including full-time supervisors, technicians, part-time andseasonal employees.

Develops strategic plan for phasing and implementation of Parks Master Plan incoordination with Parks, Recreation & Culture Deputy Director.Represents the Parks division through substantial contact with electedofficials, representatives of the Park & Recreation Advisory Committee,park users, community and planning groups, representatives of local,state, and federal agencies, and the public.Supervises employees, which includes interviewing and selection,assignment, review of work, performance evaluations, mentoring, anddisciplinary actions.Performs work independently within broad guidelines and format to accomplishgoals and achieve desired results, allowing for significant latitude andindividual judgment.Oversees the capital and maintenance funding and expenditures for theprovisions of the park properties and amenities.Coordinates the preparation, submittal, justification and control of ParksDivision annual operating budget and proposed capital improvement projects.Understands and adjusts to changes in priorities, directions,operations, industry trends, and town needs.Engages in joint and independent problem solving in an open and explorativemanner, ensuring a variety of options are explored, researched, accessedand communicated.
