　　The Paramedic is a member of the medical care team trained and certified to render supportive care to the patient, sustain life at the scene of accidental injury or sudden illness during transport to a hospital, and is qualified to begin corrective treatment as directed under State Protocol or instructed by Medical Command.

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:1. Paramedic Certification as required by WV or OH Department Of Health, Card required or eligible for WV or OH Legal Recognition.2. National Registry as EMT-Paramedic .3. BLS -may be taken during new hire orientationACLS, PALS or PEPP, and PHTLS or ITLS Certification within 60 days of hire.4. Valid Driver's license.5. Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Course within 60 days of hire.EXPERIENCE:1. Six (6) months patient care
