About Paralegal

  Title: Paralegal

  Duties:

  * Assist in the drafting and preparation of forms, correspondence and legal documents for state and federal litigation or investigations (briefs, subpoenas privilege logs, etc.).

  * Generate and format documents as necessary, and use various software programs including Office, Excel, Relativity, Case Notebook (formerly LiveNote) and Adobe PDF.

  * Work with e-discovery databases, review documents, perform searches and download documents. Interact with IT/PTG to upload electronic versions of documents.

  * Assemble and organize exhibits for depositions, subpoena hearings, court filings, hearings, and trials.

  * Format briefs, including running Table of Authorities and Table of Contents.

  * Download filings in case docket.

  * Handle logistics and scheduling, including transportation and billing issues, for depositions, court appearances, conference calls, meetings, and other events.

  * Copy, print, collate and scan papers.

  * Address consumer calls and consumer complaints through telephone calls to the health care bureau's toll free helpline written and written complaints coming into the Health Care Bureau.

  * Maintain information about assigned cases on internal case management system.

  * Provide administrative and secretarial support for all attorneys in the Health Care Bureau (HCB)

  * Process incoming and outgoing mail.

  * Perform other duties as assigned.
