Description
A Systems Administrator is responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of an organization's computer systems and networks. This includes a variety of tasks, such as installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring data security. Systems Administrators play a vital role in keeping businesses running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software
Monitor system performance and identify potential problems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems
Create and maintain user accounts and permissions
Perform backups and disaster recovery procedures
Provide technical support to users
Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
2+ years of experience in a systems administration role
Strong understanding of computer hardware and software
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
