PAINT & BODY PREP TECHNICIAN

　　Salem, VA

　　Adecco Search is seeking a Paint & Body Prep Technicians for a client of ours in Salem, VA. You will be responsible for completing paint and body prep on OEM modified heavy-duty trucks.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Responsibilities as a Truck Paint Technician (not limited to):

　　Inspect panels to be painted for body repair, prepping and/or buffing defect.

　　Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts.

　　Mainly painting truck cabs.

　　Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish to match surrounding areas. Using a brush, apply or retouch paint as necessary.

　　Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to helpers, orient and train new employees, etc.

　　May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

　　Responsibilities as an Automotive Paint Prep Technician (not limited to):

　　Fast-paced, mechanical work environment.

　　Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds required.

　　Preparing parts and panels for trucks. Buffing out imperfections, touch up painting on panels and parts.

　　Preparing tape around areas that are not being painted.

　　Great attention to detail skills.

　　REQUIREMENTS

　　Truck Paint Technician:

　　At least 3-5 years' experience.

　　Must be able to provide your own paint gun.

　　Ability to paint in hard to reach places.

　　Automotive or trade school certificate is a plus.

　　Mechanical skills are a huge plus.

　　Ability to work full-time plus overtime.

　　Automotive Paint Prep Technician:

　　At least 3-5 years' experience.

　　Mechanical background helpful.

　　Prior paint and prepping experience required.

　　Precise attention to detail skills.

　　Ability to work full time with overtime.

　　SCHEDULE

　　2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday

　　3rd Shift: 9:30 pm - 6:00 am, Monday - Friday

　　Some OT available if needed

　　SALARY

　　$20.00 - $27.00+/hourBONUS AND ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
