Packer: Position Grade C (Entry- Level)
Position Objective
This entry level must inspect quality and package the product accordingly to meet Customer Specifications.
Training
Refer to Master Training Plan / Record
Authority / Decision Making
Maintain all plant and safety policies, THM and Housekeeping.
Continually inspects and monitors quality according to Customer specifications.
Ensure finished product is packaged and labeled properly for shipment.
Attend any ongoing training and OSHA classes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Task and Duties
Must follow all plant and safety rules & regulations, written or verbal.
Must maintain in good housekeeping.
Performs inspections and monitors quality to ensure Customer specifications.
Package finished goods properly to prepare for shipment to Customer.
Complete paperwork on a timely basis.
Attend all annual and safety training classes.
Any other duties as an assigned by designated personnel.
Changes in levels of a packer will depend on the changes of responsibility and time spent on the job.
Must have regular, reliable attendance, and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
Physical / Visual Activity Required
Physical
Climbing, ascending or descending stairs, ramps, and the like using feet and legs and or, hands and arms, body agility is emphasized.
Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist. Example: Changing paper in printer, copier machine.
Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Example: Making copies, giving presentation, directing traffic.
Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time. Example: Making copies, giving presentations, directing traffic.
Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
Pushing, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Preferred Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Entry level with zero experience.
