　　Packaging Engineer

　　Client Job ID: 29665

　　Schedule: Mon Fri 7am 4pm 100% onsite

　　Major Purpose:

　　Resolving all packaging related safety issues

　　Resolving all Packaging related quality issues

　　Creating cost savings/Avoidance projects

　　Working on returnable packaging solutions to help with sustainability.

　　Documenting packaging required from all suppliers in EPSA.

　　Creating work standards

　　Focusing on all NPI packaging activities

　　Typical Day in the Role

　　Provide NPI support (returnable containers CPPD)

　　Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components

　　Design for transport efficiency

　　Perform containerization analysis and quoting

　　Validate new packaging and containers during pilot phase

　　Coordinate with assembly planning for line-side storage and ergonomicconsiderations

　　Develop kitting packaging / presentation

　　Validate returnable quantities through simulations

　　Resolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packaging

　　Resolve issues reported by 3PL or carriers

　　Interaction with team:

　　Working with both NA packaging team as well as both India and Chinateams

　　Working with supply chain logistics- procurement Manufacturingtransportation and POU to ensure total alignment with any packagingsolutions.

　　Work environment:

　　Office shop floor visit other facilities

　　Candidate Requirements

　　Education & Experience Required:

　　Bachelors degree and 2 years of packaging experience required.

　　Technical Skills

　　-(Creo or other similar electronic drafting experience is required CreoRequired)

　　-Pack assist

　　-Knowledge of packaging materials

　　-Knowledge pf packaging suppliers

　　Soft Skills

　　Experience with 6 Sigma Project teams preferred.

　　Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

　　Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills

　　Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures

　　Thorough knowledge of Standard Practice, corporate shipping guidelines,quality and cleanliness specifications and inventory warehousingstandards.

　　Desired

　　APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
