Job Summary
Under the direction and with approval of the customer, the Records Program Manager will support the customer’s RIM program team during the first four years of the Managed Service Program.
The Program Manager is responsible for supporting activities and tasks related to the development and execution of the records management program. The program manager will provide records management expertise, as well as hands-on tasks, which support and assist the customer in continuing to advance their information management capabilities. The program manager will be expected to contribute to the development of existing program projects, as well as make and document suggestions for improvement.
The scope of this position requires hands-on experience and expertise in the following records management activities: development and support of records retention schedules, understanding of policies, procedures, legislation and legal obligations, implement and enforce records retention policies and procedures, recommend improvements as appropriate, provide periodic reporting.
ESSENTIAL/KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Supports activities and tasks related to RIM program administration
Assist in the design of records programs by relating business processes and legal and operational issues to records management requirements.
Support and assist in ongoing development and promotion of policies and best practices.
Evaluate, assess, and recommend appropriate media and practices for RIM program.
Make recommendations on drafting RIM policies and procedures by reviewing and analyzing RIM systems and requirements in line with RIM best practices.
Support and assist with the design and requirements for the implementation, management, and administration of an electronic records management program.
Support regular review and assessment of the RIM program.
Review, monitor, and provide metrics that measure the productivity and performance of the RIM program.
Develop reports to communicate information.
Interpret data to improve process management, make decisions, and justify/validate program to upper management.
Provide training regarding RIM processes in compliance with organization policies and procedures.
Conduct needs analysis for training.
Obtain support for organization-wide training.
Integrate RIM principles into the training program.
Evaluate and implement ongoing improvement strategies.
Assist in developing RIM system specifications by utilizing best practices, assessing business needs, and clearly documenting requirements.
Educational & Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirements:
BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience
Certification in Records (CRM) Desired or 5 years’ experience in a Records management position. Understanding of Automated systems and applications.
Reasonably expected salary range: $101,700.00 - $135,600.00
