The leading global distributor of factory automation components is actively seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their Battle Creek, MI office. This role covers the MI/NE/AR states, strategically promoting the company and key manufacturers and suppliers. Key responsibilities involve cultivating sales and relationships within all Key Group accounts in the assigned areas. This includes visiting customers to promote and advise on the appropriate products for their applications, as well as serving as a project manager on projects. The representative will work closely with Engineering and Maintenance Departments at Key Group accounts.The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in factory automation equipment component sales roles.
Responsibilities:Conduct customer visits to promote and specify products, with a primary focus on Factory Automation.Record daily sales activities in Salesforce, working towards meeting or surpassing designated sales targets for the assigned territory.Offer support to the Inside Sales Team by addressing customer-related issues.Cultivate sales and relationships within designated Key customer accounts.Identify, establish, and oversee key customer accounts, analyzing trends and recognizing business opportunities.Act as a project manager, defining scope, selecting suppliers, and negotiating contracts.Regularly assess and recommend changes to the branch manager regarding sales application issues, including supplier and customer concerns.Collaborate closely with Engineering and Maintenance Departments.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:5 years of sales experience in factory automation equipment.Ability to develop strong business plans to achieve specific sales goals for each key account.Proficient with MS Office and CRM softwareMust have a valid driver's license
