EDUCATION - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPRrequired.Registered Orthopedic Technologist preferred

Aware of and understands hospital and departmental measures for evaluatingclinical practice, including knowledge of the goals of the department,division and organization, the quality improvement process and the locationof policies, procedures and guidelines for practice.
Demonstrates knowledge of unit specific responsibilities for care delivery,organizational skills, to include prioritization and time management ofclinic flow.
Demonstrates knowledge/understanding of the process for performanceevaluation including continuing education and annual requirements.
Develops goals to advance clinical practice and professional growth through anunderstanding of the need for self-directed personal and unit basedprofessional and educational activities.
Identifies patient/family learning needs, readiness to learn and utilizesappropriate teaching strategies while providing interventions in compliancewith current hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates ccountability for care provided.
Understands the roles within the multidisciplinary team providing familycentered patient care while maintaining objective and professional boundaries.
