The Cahoon Museum seeks a Development Associate to join our developmentteam to assist in supporting the museum?s fundraising & donorcultivation goals. This position is responsible for processing gifts &donations, maintaining the membership program, producing reports &lists, supporting annual fund initiatives, & assisting with events. TheDevelopment Associate provides administrative support to the developmentdepartment & helps maintain the museum?s donor database by ensuringintegrity & accuracy of records. The Development Associate will reportdirectly to the Executive Director with further oversight from &collaboration with the Deputy Director & Information Services Manager.This is a part-time position (25-28) hours per week, non-exempt.Essential Duties & Responsibilities The essential functions include, butare not limited to the following: Acknowledgements & Membership ProgramFulfill donor database entry for memberships & other fundraising relatedgifts Generate gift & donation acknowledgements accurately & in a timelymanner Process membership requests & renewals; generate membershipacknowledgements & membership cards Work with development departmentteam to develop strategies to increase revenue through annual giving,membership, & events Development Administration Enter & maintainaccurate records in the database according to standard operatingprocedures & best practices Produce & update a wide variety ofdepartmental reports & lists Assist with development mailings;coordinate bulk mailings for both membership & gift solicitationsMaintain development files, digital & paper Assist in the management ofticket sale/reservation process for development department specialevents & member?s receptions Record meeting minutes for all developmentoffice committee meetings Draft simple correspondence Provideadministrative support as necessary to the development department inareas of phone support, general office errands, maintaining supplies forthe office & filing Events Participate in event planning &implementation Assist in managing & tracking ad sales, sponsorships,volunteer coordination, & site arrangements as necessary for specialevents Enter & maintain data records for activities, event attendance,conversation notes, & other information Minimum Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) BA/BS required Demonstrated proficiencywith database systems & software; high degree of literacy with MicrosoftOffice (including Word & Excel) & CRMs, Altru or Raiser?s Edgeexperience preferred Accuracy, attention to detail, & ability to followprocesses are essential Positive attitude & an adaptive & collaborativeapproach Ability to be discreet & handle confidential information Mustbe able to work occasional evenings & weekends during special eventsAbout The Cahoon Museum of American Art The Cahoon Museum of AmericanArt is a community supported non-profit art museum with a mission ofserving the community through education & enjoyment of the arts.
