  The Origination Rep III/Sr - Gas (Gulf Coast Region) is responsible for handling projects and transactions under minimal direction. A successful candidate has acquired a wide range of knowledge regarding the natural gas business and is capable of interacting with customers at all levels within our organization. The ability to impact the achievement of customer, functional, operational, project or service objectives and resolve sophisticated problems that improve performance, efficiency and safety are keys to success!

  Day in the Life :

  As an Originator, you will play a vital role in Sequent’s long term commercial success. In this role you will establish external relationships, problem solve to offer solutions to our clients, and serve as an extension of the trading organization to implement long term strategy. You will work closely across the Williams commercial organization and gain exposure to LNG, Gathering and Processing, M&A, and Williams’ New Energy Ventures group who is responsible for sustainable low-carbon future initiatives. This work goes beyond merely solving today's problems; it's a platform to shape the energy future of tomorrow.

  Responsibilities/Expectations:

  Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies resolutions to non-standard requests

  Accounts for projects or programs with moderate risks and resource requirements

  Identifies and estimates contributors to costs, accurately forecasts financial information, makes prudent decisions regarding expenditures, and uses financial and quantitative information to guide actions and performance

  Conducts research and analysis to identify, evaluate, recommend, and pursue new growth opportunities that will augment our existing business and expand business opportunities into other segments

  Benchmarks post-transaction operating results and assists in the development of acquisition long-range forecasts

  Demonstrates knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry; understands energy market fundamentals, trends, and economics across the industry

  Develops opinions and challenges recommendations on basin, customer and competitor intelligence based off third party tools and publications, and coordinates with investment banks to understand and evaluate potential transactions

  Demonstrates ability to gain consensus amongst peers as a means of facilitating transactions through the organization’s structured transaction process

  Willingness to collaborate across the Williams enterprise

  Develops and delivers presentations across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership

  Possesses strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop long lasting business relationships

  Other duties as assigned

  Education/Years of Experience:

  Required: Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or related area of study; a minimum seven (7) years' related experience

  Preferred: MBA

  Other Requirements:

  Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills

  Knowledge of upstream, midstream, or downstream assets

  Experience with asset development

  Fundamental understanding of various credit structures employed to collateralize natural gas related transactions
