Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Order Picker for the 2nd shift at a distribution center in New Brighton. This role involves filling orders accurately according to pick lists and operating a cherry picker to pull orders from multiple levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and a consistent work history.

Responsibilities

Fill requisitions and orders by operating a cherry picker and working from pick sheets.

Spend 90% of the job on a cherry picker pulling orders 1-3 levels higher.

Pack, palletize, and crate products, and drop them to the shipping area.

Consistently lift up to 50 lbs, with most products weighing in the 15-30 lb range.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 months of order picking experience or 1+ year of sit-down/stand-up forklift experience with order picking.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.

Consistent work history with no more than 2 jobs in the past 3 years.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Shipping experience is a plus.

Computer skills are a plus.

Comfortable training on forklifts and not afraid of heights.

Experience with pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and packaging.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and organized with high racks for order picking up to 3 levels high using a cherry picker. The facility requires closed-toed shoes, but shorts are allowed during the summer. The warehouse is large and busy, with 20 people on the 1st shift and 15 people on the 2nd shift. The job requires flexibility with hours, typically working 3:30 pm to 1:00 am Monday-Thursday, and 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Fridays. Overtime is mandatory, with the possibility of working 10-12 hour days, especially early in the week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Brighton, Minnesota.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
