Dr. Tavel has been family owned for over 80 years and is focused on providing eye exams, glasses, and contacts at our 24 Indiana offices. Our team is collaborative and focused on providing a SPEC-tacular patient experience to help Hoosiers see better, look better, and feel better.

Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities include:

Manage all operations of a Dr. Tavel office including hiring, employee scheduling, training and development, performance reviews, meetings, inventory assessment, and other duties as assigned or needed within the office

Setup your store for success each day by ensuring all operational, service, and staff procedures are executed to Dr. Tavel standards

Drive store vision and sales by utilizing reports and dashboards, providing exceptional service, and resolving customer and operational inquiries timely

Work closely with Doctors to understand recommendations and utilize your expertise to guide Opticians in delivering excellent patient care and product offerings to customers

Work directly with Regional Supervisors and the Director of Store Operations to identify opportunities for improvement and growth

Assisting with general front office operations: answering the phone, check-in, check-out, and pretesting patients

All things insurance: verifying eligibility, answers questions, and authorizing benefits

Foster and support a productive, positive culture in your office

Requirements

Previous management experience is required (retail management is a plus) with ability to motivate, develop, and hold staff accountable

Management experience leading a team of at least 4-6 employees is a plus

Previous optical experience required with working knowledge of troubleshooting glasses

A positive attitude and a willingness to strive for excellence

Clear, effective, and professional communicator with ability to break down terms for customers to easily understand

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Available to work one evening per week and Saturdays

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
