  This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

  DESCRIPTION:

  This position reports directly to the Office Operations Supervisor.

  This position requires bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Creole to meet the needs of our clients arriving from other countries.

  The incumbent performs a variety of general clerical duties related to Refugee /Tuberculosis/ Hepatitis Services. Duties include, but not limited to; front desk receptionist, data entry, scheduling appointments, scanning, verifying eligibility, answering incoming calls, and client appointment reminder calls.

  Assignments vary according to support services needed at any given time; the incumbent will be flexible and accept change readily. Must follow HIPAA and information security regulations set by federal, state and local policies to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client health information.

  Incumbent will establish good rapport with staff and clients and provide excellent internal and external customer service.

  Processes release of information (ROI) request ensuring that valid authorization has been given by the client or the client’s legal representative; releases information to the persons and agencies according to policy and regulations.

  Participates in workgroups and meetings and attends/completes required trainings. Reviews/responds to email daily and completes on time all administrative requirements such as EAR’s timesheets, reports, etc.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This may include working in a special needs or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Emergency duties may also include in-state and/or out-of-state deployment. 2. High School Diploma. 3. One (1) or more years working as a Front Desk Receptionist in a health care environment. 4. Bilingual English/ Spanish or English/Creole.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  One (1) or more years working as a front desk receptionist in a Public Health Department.

  Experience working in Public Health.

  Experience working with Electronic Health Records.
