  POSITION SUMMARY:

  Support Technical and Production Stakeholders with project structure, analytics, and communications to support alignment on operational strategies. This project-based function relies on a multi-disciplined team performing a range of in-depth analyses on market dynamics, operations, competitor, and financial information. Final recommendations are presented to senior management enabling them to make decisions in the strategic horizon. This exposure allows for developing a strong network across different functional areas within Nestlé.

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Key activities of Operations Strategy Project Managers include:

  Translate divisional long-term business strategies into an operational strategy including technology roadmap, major investments, and key resourcing under the guidance of the division VPM

  Monitor and analyze manufacturing capacity, including simulation of multiple demand scenarios

  Assess strategic sourcing scenarios to articulate tradeoffs between different options and frame key strategic decisions for executive stakeholders to make well informed decisions

  Advise commercial stakeholders of the technical capabilities of our current footprint and influence the innovation agenda to increase asset utilization and avoid CAPEX

  Charter major CAPEX and transformation projects, translating business requirements and context in clear direction and technical requirements

  Set the roles of production lines and identify improvement opportunities in the assignment of SKUs to lines. Communicate line roles and CAPEX avoidance opportunities to ME and TAG functions for follow up action

  Other duties as required

  REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or engineering. MBA preferred.

  EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a strategy, operations or finance area preferably in the FMCG sector.

  • Project management experience preferred.

  • Asset utilization analysis and Financial analysis (cash flow analysis and investment evaluation), such as work as an industrial engineer, manufacturing co-pilot, supply chain planner, or factory supply chain manager

  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations and planning

  • Experience presenting to executive audiences preferred

  SKILLS:

  • Very strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate data from disparate sources

  • Ability to distill information and present conclusions clearly

  • Proactive, self-motivated and can work on your own initiative

  • Confident and have an enquiring mind

  • Flexible and an active team player

  • An effective and competent communicator and listener

  • Well-organized with attention to detail

  • Microsoft Office – specifically Excel modeling and Power Point
