We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West.We are in search of an Operations Specialist to join our Loan Accounting and Operations department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). Internal candidates located in one of our branch locations may be considered. This full-time position reports to the Manager-Loan Operations and provides centralized operational and loan accounting support to monitor, analyze and service the organization's loan portfolio.Note: This is not a remote role and will require on-site work.Compensation InformationThe base salary range for this position is $41,000 - $68,000; bonus at target is 5% or 6% of salaryJob RequirementsPerform analysis and loan accounting for exceptions, reversals, corrections, account closures, manual future payment fund compounding and other maintenance as required.Review monitoring reports and take appropriate action to ensure loan accounting transactions and daily operations activities are in compliance and control with loan terms, regulations, policies and procedures.Make accurate accounting entries for loan fees and costs.Reconcile daily match report outages and clearing accounts, processing the appropriate accounting entries as necessary.Provide assistance and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.Review exceptions and grant entitlement to the organization's online banking customers.Monitor and reconcile stock for the organization's customers.Prepare detailed and organized work papers to support daily work and reconcilements.Participate in various projects as assigned, both within the department and in collaboration with other functional areas.Perform back-up functions to Funds Management area; professionally communicate with customers who transact on large complex accounts.Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.Other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsAssociate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to follow internal control procedures to prevent fraud deficiencies, mishandling of funds and monetary transactionsDemonstrated written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide excellent customer service and timely, sound solutions for internal/external requestsAbility to problem solve through effective use of procedures and understanding of systems, reporting, internal controls and loan accountingKnowledge of finance and accounting principlesPreferred RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fieldGeneral understanding of credit related laws and regulationsBenefits Offered by AgWestMedical, dental, and vision insuranceBasic term life and AD&D insurance (fully paid for by the company)Paid days off annually: 15 vacation*, 10 sick, 11 holidays and 3 volunteer401(k) plan (6% match plus 3% employer contribution)Employee Assistance ProgramWellness ProgramJeans are welcome at work every day at AgWest!*Vacation accrual rate is based on the years of service achieved during the leave year, or, assigned by pay grade.
