St. Luke’s Health System in Ketchum is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator to join our Wood River Medical Center team.(Full Time only for referrals)
Hours/Shift:
Full Time - Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30p (40 hours per week)
(Schedule subject to change based on staffing needs on the weekend)
This individual will cross train in the Med Surg, Mother Baby, and Emergency Units but will primarily support the Med Surg unit.
HUC Responsibilities:
Assists healthcare staff with clerical or other various duties on the unit.
Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with health care team members and others common to the unit/area(s) of assignment.
Prepares, compiles and maintains patient and/or operational records in the unit.
Maintains inventory and order supplies as necessary.
May transcribe and ensure physicians' orders are processed and patient follow up needs are met or assures documentation of work is completed as required.
Responsibilities
Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Documents information in patient record.
Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
Performs tasks and procedures as ordered by the physician or licensed provider consistent with approved protocols, policies, and procedures.
Performs tasks that require a unique body of knowledge and skills for that area of service.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: None
Experience: 6 months relevant experience and demonstrated expanded skill set as required by unit/ department
Licenses/Certifications:
Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification.
Must be at least 18 years old at time of offer acceptance.
