PFCU Team: AccountingSalary Range: $55,500 to $58,000Role Format: Full-Time, 100% In-Person/0% Remote Work Location: 1321 Pittsford-Mendon Road, Mendon NY 14506Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of a Pittsford FCU Operations Specialist is to support the back office operations of Pittsford FCU. Specifically, this role includes processing transactions presented throughvarious electronic payment systems. Additionally, the Operations Specialist will perform various back-office tasks which require close attention to detail, diligent research ability and strong organizational skills. The Operations Specialist will be required to work alone as well as closely with other team members. Therefore, the ability to flourish in a diverse and dynamic team environment is essential.Major Duties and Responsibilities (Not all-inclusive):Support Pittsford FCUs ATM, Debit and Credit card products and card processing interfaces.Respond to and address PFCU member and team member inquiries regarding plastic card products via telephone, email and/or face-to-face conversation.Monitor Card Services daily operational reports. Assist with processing card orders, card maintenance, resolve issues and investigate suspect/potentially fraudulent transactions.Research transaction events and issues relating to cards and collaborate with internal departments as necessary to resolve concerns while uncovering root causes to mitigate/avoidfuture similar issues.Become familiar with and embrace PFCUs compliance with the rules and regulations governing ACH and Share Draft processing.Review daily ACH reports, resolve exception items, process return files, review and processstop payments and fraud claims, assist with member inquiries and perform research as necessary.Review daily Share Draft reports, resolve exception items, process stop payments, process encoding errors/corrections, perform account research and respond to general inquiries.Post accounting entries by journal voucher to member accounts and the General Ledger system; balance non-cash transactions daily.Respond to Medicaid, IRS and subpoena requests.Assist with the processing of garnishments, levies and restraints related to member accounts.Comply with PFCU policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations.Thoroughly embrace, and through everyday actions, embody, PFCUs Five Core Values: Effort, Fun, Respect, Honesty/Integrity, and Tolerance.Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelors degree is preferred.One to two years of financial institution experience is preferred.Desire, ability, and commitment to learn, with initiative to work independently.
