  The Manufacturing Operations Project Management (OPM) homeroom has an opening for an OPM Manager 1, ATP, Advanced Tactical Programs Production Manager, supporting the Airborne Multifunction Sensors /Tactical Fighter Programs Division in Baltimore, MD.

  The OPM Manager 1 position is both a functional management position with direct reports and a Project Leadership position. The Manufacturing Operations Project Managers are the interface between the Business Division and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for schedule management and cost accountability of Manufacturing activities for this Business Division.

  The ideal candidate must have demonstrated ability in working with cross organizational teams and customers; the ability to set and clearly articulate goals/priorities and successfully communicate them to key staff; strong leadership skills; and a track record of building high-performance teams, with a particular focus on employee development, engagement, inclusion, and retention.

  Responsibilities Include:Manage the production execution for Business Unit programsManage Manufacturing cost and schedule performanceServe as Manufacturing lead for all proposals in the Business UnitCreate and lead teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting the manufacturing execution of the programsUnderstand and report on Manufacturing Operations status at the required level of detail to the Program Manager, Sector Executive Management, and customersEnsure Manufacturing has the needed resources (resources Manufacturing needs as well as allocation of resources from Manufacturing) to execute the programsServe as Functional Manager and direct the work of your reporting Operations Project ManagersPerform manpower planning and execute hiring to support the Business DivisionMentor, develop, and assess direct reportsProvide strategic leadership to ensure all Program and Manufacturing objectives are achievedProvide Manufacturing expertise to support the strategic vision of the Business DivisionBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters with 3 or more years of relevant experienceExperience leading people and/or projectsExperience working in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, IPT, Operations Project Management (OPM), or similar rolesWorking knowledge of SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systemsExcellent presentation and communication skillsCAM, Control Account Management, EVMS experienceCandidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and/or Master's degreeDemonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts: - MRP and IMS Scheduling - SAP production planning and material management tools - ISE/CADSTAR - Earned Value Management - Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and ManufacturingExperience leading Manufacturing proposal efforts that include labor quoting, schedule and capacity analysis, investment planning, and descriptive writing contributionsProgram execution experienceWhat We Can Offer You:

  Salary Range: $90,700 - $136,100

  The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
