About Operations Policy Specialist, Sr

  DescriptionResponsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Leads the development of pipeline safety and integrity standardized procedures and policies related to system design, integrity management, construction, maintenance, training and compliance. Reviews audit findings and provides technical support to draft responses. This position is responsible to know and apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures and is assisted by administrative personnel.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust possess a working knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations and analytical skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in a business or engineering related discipline.Five years of experience working with gas distribution and transmission standards, systems or equivalent experience, as well as applicable state and federal requirements including the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Part 192.OTHER REQUIREMENTSRequired to maintain a valid driver's license.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.Occasional overnight travel is required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in natural gas distribution, transmission, utility service, worker and job site safety, pipeline safety, pipeline integrity and training.JOB RESPONSIBILTIESDevelops curriculum and leads technical training facilitation for various work groups on company policies and procedures.Leads liaison activities between various state PSC/PUC and internal departments (quality assurance, engineering operations, technology and safety) to facilitate response to government audit findings and make internal recommendations to address company performance.May represent the company at trade, state, and national organizations or associations.Leads the Company Procedures updates and release processes.Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.Offers typically made between - $79,760 - $99,700 annually.To view our comprehensive and competitive benefits package, click here.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
