About Operations Planning Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Engineering degreeAbility to demonstrate and maintain a good safety recordGeneral knowledge of the engineering, construction and operation of electric and natural gas transmission and distribution systems including regulatory policies (FERC, DOT, etc.) or related experienceWorking knowledge of Company safety and environmental policies and procedures or have related experienceStrong computer skills, including Microsoft office and ability to learn and effectively use proprietary softwareAbility to supervise and direct the activities of several functions and direct reports, coordinate diverse activities, delegate efficiently and promote and maintain a positive and progressive work environmentAbility to perform constant sitting, frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting up to 35 poundsAbility to travel up to 20% of the work time or as the work requires under varying conditionsAbility to be on-call for after-hours emergencies as part of the Division operations Supervisor-on-Call rotationAbility to pass an employment physical, drug test and background checkProfessional Engineer License is preferredPractical knowledge of all phases of utility electric and gas operations is recommendedADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR UPPER LEVEL INCLUDE:

Strong leadership skills including interpersonal communication skillsAbility to lead and develop a department and department staff membersExceptional work experience and knowledge may be considered subject to review and approval by upper managementDUTIES INCLUDE:

Demonstrate leadership consistent with NorthWestern Energy's code, values, policies, processes and controlsUtilize management practices to maintain employee engagement and productivityEffectively manage budgets, ensuring proper cost controlsLead special projects and utilize change and project management techniques as requiredOutage management and analysisPower quality system planning, power quality and RFI issue investigation and resolutionSystem operation optimization coordinated with the asset management, substation and electric/gas operations functions (coordination studies, data plans, switching plans, feeder loading, ties, etc.)Coordinate and integrate effective leadership and human performance initiatives in the Division workforce with the Division Manager, Electric and Gas SupervisorsSupervisory responsibilities for a part of the Division workforce and operationMetering function within the Division operations including personnel, work execution and metering performance metrics and data analysisOperations processes to include, but not limited to the line patrol annual plan, execution and deficiency corrections; annual transmission aerial assessment; claims process and high load movesClaims resolution leadAnnual capital and expense budget preparation Annual work plan development and executionAnnual required workforce trainingDOT and DIMPS annual requirements assistanceAnnual projects development and design to support operations and constructionSupervise gas and electric operations in the absence of the Division ManagerEnsure that work is performed in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Policies and Procedures established by NorthWestern EnergyEnsure that plans and work are executed in compliance with the NWE Safety and Standards ManualsLead a day-to-day operation that is dynamic and is a change agentAdhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct EthicsEnsure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectivesFull-time position.

$81,200 - $148,900 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include: 401K with company match up to 4% and non-elective contribution up to %; healthcare and wellbeing programs, including dental and vision; Health Savings Account (HSA); healthcare and dependent care flexible spending account (FSA); Employee Assistance Programs; Life Insurance; paid time off starting on your first day, plus 11 paid holidays.
