Job Responsibilities:
Provides effective management of all equipment, supplies, personnel and activities associated with Civil Engineering facility maintenance and operations. Determines priorities, develop plans, implement policies and procedures to ensure the success of numerous routine and special time critical activities and task are met.
Develops and maintains procedures for all contract task areas, produce timely analysis and recommendations for improvement of current systems and the implementation of new work.
Ensures timely and successful performance of all PWS/SOW tasks; serves as a primary point of contact for all technical and task related matters.
Directs necessary resources, set priorities, and assists as necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operation of all functional areas.
Works with Government personnel/COTR to resolve problems concerning contract support services, maintains effective working relationship with customers.
Provides needed assistance to subordinates in resolving work related issues and or problems.
Conducts a quality assurance program in accordance with contract requirements, procedures manuals, and other pertinent directives.
Assists with keeping records on production and performance and provide status reports to the Project Manager as directed.
Provides oral and written status reports, routine and ad hoc, as scheduled or requested to the COTR and or Project Manager.
Supervises work force, set policies, and procedures for effective and efficient operations; evaluates subordinates and counsel as necessary on performance.
Establishes procedures to develop and train personnel to ensure knowledgeable, technically proficient staff; reviews and monitors work to determine training needs, retraining if standards are not being met.
Be knowledgeable of and enforce AKIMA management and safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen able to pass a NACI background check.
Formal technical school training, civilian or military, in a civil engineering craft field. Bachelor’s Degree preferably with a technical focus desired.
Five years supervisory experience over a facilities craft workforce.
Three years’ experience working on a government contract.
Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking.
