Tryer Center is a 20,000 square-foot innovation facility at Starbucks Support Center dedicated to fueling faster and deeper innovation at Starbucks. Tryer Operations OCMs fully apply tools and techniques to assist in cross-functional planning and collaboration, leading the execution of multiple projects to deliver valuable, high quality and efficient testing and experiments.

As an OCM, you will focus on supporting testing and innovation at Starbucks. You will help design, build, and maintain testing environments for different business units across the enterprise in support of our partners, customers, and the business. You will also help uphold and continuously improve the operations systems of the Tryer Lab.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
• Serve as point of contact for Tryer Center Operations, assisting in designing and leading the build out of testing environments required to support testing of different store and station layouts (i.e., café, DT only, pick up), custom systems (i.e., IoT), and store systems and processes.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of retail systems, software, and hardware used in the testing implementation process.
• Activate on the timely troubleshooting of challenges linked to equipment and technology and escalate to support partners as appropriate.
Operations Consultation Manager, Facilities
and Technology, Tryer Operations
• Coordinate with Tryer Testing, Analytics, and cross functional project teams to ensure proper resources (i.e.,
store product, equipment/technology, data-collection tools) are in place leading up to and supporting
throughout scheduled testing.
• Manage projects within the Tryer Operations strategy to deliver testing environments and support continuous
improvement.
• Oversee key Tryer Operations systems (i.e., lab inventory, equipment upkeep schedule) to support testing
environments and Tryer Concepts work.
• Problem solve with minimal assistance; making time-sensitive decisions to manage break-fix or escalate
problems to support scheduled testing.
• Manage strong, cross-functional relationships and serve as an Operations support contact for both internal
partners and third party-stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience in IT, Networking, and other technical support systems
• 3 years managing mid-sized or multiple small-sized projects
• Strong knowledge of store operations and project testing cycle
• Able to thrive in ambiguous and challenging situations in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 4-year degree preferred
• Understanding of facilities and equipment maintenance processes
• Strong ability to organize multiple complex workstreams
• Knowledge of retail store operations, processes, and procedures
• Capacity to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
