Regions Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced OR RN to join our team as the OR Nursing Supervisor for the OB-GYN, Urology, and Robotics Service Line. The Nursing Supervisor leads patient care staff, ensures nursing care provided is safe and individualized with the patient at the center. The Supervisor uses nursing process to coordinate day-to-day operations, develops and updates surgeon specific preference cards, facilitates new surgeon on-boarding, holds staff accountable for exemplary patient care and maintains awareness of industry changes and the impact on areas of responsibility. The Nursing Supervisor demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients while functioning in a variety of roles such as Care Coordinator, Educator/Resource, Documenter, Resource Manager, and Advocate, working in collaboration with Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, Surgeons, and other members of the care team. Regions Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center with 21 operating rooms including a hybrid OR and two (2) daVinci Xi robots. We perform over 14,000 surgical procedures with surgical specialties including: orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, cardiothoracic, plastics, ENT, general, OB-GYN, eye, urology, colo-rectal, burns and Da-Vinci robotic cases. Work Schedule: This position is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) with shifts that will primarily be weekdays during the day/evening.
