Job Description

　　Job Summary:

　　The Clinical Social Worker LCSW provides a full range of social work services in collaboration with other CSMC staff to meet the psychosocial and resource needs of patients/families/significant others. This position provides psychological assessment of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment and/or life situation; Formulates, develops, implements a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizating appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions; Provides brief individual crisis intervention; Participates in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provides clinical social perspectives in clinical care teams meetings; Documents assessment plans, interactions and interventions according to departmental, hospital and/or health system guidelines and standards. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　Educational Requirements:

　　Master's Degree from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Education

　　Licenses:

　　Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California

　　Experience:

　　3 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting; experience in oncology preferred

　　Physical Demands:

　　Sitting at a desk or table in an office environment with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects.
