We are looking for an intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated Veterinarian of integrity who is seeking a unique work schedule that allows for greater monetary compensation per work time. This position will be personally customized for the doctor who fills it and is especially developed for doctors that may be wanting to remain free to their families throughout the day, wishing to slowly transition toward semi-retirement, wanting direct control of their amount of work and income, or wishing for full-time income with a part-time schedule. 

　　The primary function of this position is to be the exclusively "On-Call" Veterinarian for our area, thus allowing the doctor to take emergency calls from home, only coming into the office to see the emergencies that are warranted. However, as an entirely new position for DVMs, there is significant flexibility to work as much or as little as desired. While we anticipate on-call duties alone to suffice for income, the on-call doctor will also have the option to schedule non-emergent appointments during the after-hours (including evening hours as early as 4pm or morning hours as late as 11am) at our hospital and/or provide holiday- or travel-relief work for our full-time veterinarian in order to supplement income if desired.

　　Income from this position is unlimited, as pay will be generously comprised of a percentage of production combined with additional bonus emergency fees. The doctor will be compensated for the lateness/earliness of the hour, which will correspond with a sliding fee schedule relative to the (in)convenience of the hour.

A technician will be sought to fill the on-call vet tech position that accompanies the on-call doctor whenever needed.

　　Experience (particularly in small-animal care) is necessary. Part-time or full-time work are each potential options, with long-term, autonomous employment intended. We are looking for a veterinarian who is a good problem-solver and communicator, while also sharing our enjoyment and pride in interacting with and serving both people and their pets, and who contributes to a clean, comforting, and inviting environment that allows for a positive experience with every veterinary visit. An appropriate sense of humor is also a welcome addition (as we enjoy a light and friendly atmosphere in our office), as is a particular sensitivity to the emotional trauma that owners may be experiencing during an emergent visit.
