JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Health Care Specialist performs equipment setupsin a timely and professional manner. This employee is generallyresponsible for the setup of highly technical equipment such asventilators, monitors, and CPAP units. The Health Care Specialist alsoprovides technical assistance with equipment and may end up performingsetup of all types of oxygen equipment as well. * Provides patienteducation as an intricate part of the patient care activity according tothe patient\'s need and policy, frequently in the patient\'s home *Requires use of a personal vehicle with a valid driver\'s license *Performs complete and professional patient assessments in accordancewith policies and procedures * Maintains current knowledge ofrespiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapyconcepts * Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety &Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the properuse of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA, andEmergency Planning * Represents the company through professionalpersonal appearance, patient care activities, and content of writtenreports * Facilitates prescription collection * Maintains patientrecords incomplete and organized manner in compliance with accreditationstandards * Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed *Frequency is determined by the center size and the number of employeesavailable to share in the responsibility * Must respond in a timelymanner Lincare is an equal opportunity employer, access and affirmativeaction employer.
