The Okta Platform and Services Engineer will be a member of the Customer Identity Access Management team servicing our application teams as well as our members and clients. The team is in the process of designing and implementing next generation features. As a key Engineer for the team you will be primarily responsible for the platform. You will collaborate with security engineers, software engineers and quality engineers in delivering and maintaining platform services. You will also collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers, Operations and vendors in order to support the overall platform needs.
The Customer Identity Access Management team is part of the enterprise Platform Engineering team. We are looking for an Engineer who is passionate about ensuring availability and stability of the platform. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams across the enterprise on solutions and implementationsRespond to issues impacting our customers, providing troubleshooting, triage, diagnosis, root cause analysis, and resolutionLeverage your knowledge of Okta to provide planning and strategic support including roadmaps for the platform teamProactively maintain and address support and feature requests with Okta professional servicesProactively maintain and update the Okta environment Explore ways to improve processes and automate everyday tasksDig into problems to understand, document, and prevent root causesDevelop, augment and refine environment documentationHave experience with Azure services and containerization Have utilized technologies such as Ubuntu Linux, Nginx and DockerUnderstand standard protocols like HTTP, TLS/SSL, DNS, SSH, and TCP/IPHave worked with custom deployment tools leveraging Terraform, Python, Ruby, or PuppetFeel confident with version control using Git and GithubAre familiar with observability tools such as Datadog
Qualifications:

Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $92,000 - $196,500
