  The Morrisville campus is 30 miles southeast of Syracuse and 30 miles southwest of Utica; it is a half-hour drive from the New York State Thruway with easy access to Albany (two hours), Rochester (two hours), Buffalo (three hours) and New York City (four hours).

  The Norwich Campus of SUNY Morrisville has been serving the Norwich community and the surrounding areas for more than 46 years, offering students associate degree options such as Criminal Justice, Computer Information Technology, and Nursing. The campus is also used by businesses, not-for-profits and community partners for training, events and videoconferencing.

  The Syracuse Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), administered by SUNY Morrisville, provides the urban community of Syracuse with innovative academic programs leading to higher education as well as vocational training programs leading to gainful employment and economic self-sufficiency.

  Job Description:

  Campus Title: Offshore Wind Outreach Coordinator (Full-time, Temporary 18-month assignment)

  Budget Title: Project Staff Associate

  Department: Renewable Energy Training Center, School of ABT

  Negotiating Unit: Research Foundation

  Professional Rank and Salary Range: $55,000 - 60,000 annual salary

  Duration: Calendar year (12-month schedule)

  Brief Description of Duties:

  SUNY Morrisville is seeking an Offshore Wind Outreach Coordinator to support our Offshore Wind Technician Training program within the Renewable Energy Training Center. As the Offshore Wind Outreach Coordinator, this person will work directly with the renewable energy/RETC faculty and coordinate on- and off-campus outreach, education, and recruiting events.

  This is a grant-funded initiative, and the position is full time temporary (approximately 18 months, depending on start date).

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Liaise with other training providers, k-12 schools, industry partners, workforce development partners, and campus admissions, marketing, and registrar's office.

  Conduct career awareness sessions, requiring a familiarity with renewable energy/offshore wind industry.

  The Outreach Coordinator will develop and maintain social media presence for the RETC.

  The position will require regular, local travel, principally in NY State.

  The position will require in-person office presence (with the flexibility for hybrid operations).

  Requirements:

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree

  Some evidence of interest and knowledge in renewable energy.

  3+ years of administrative project, program or event planning experience.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Knowledge/experience in social media marketing and digital marketing.

  Excellent written and oral communications skills.

  Proficient in MS Office, Outlook/Calendar, Teams/Zoom conferencing.

  Organized and high attention to detail.
